Over ten years, this project examined data from nearly 1,000 women at 30 abortion facilities across the US to determine the impact of having or being denied an abortion.
Over 95% of women who accessed an abortion said it had been the right decision for them when asked five years later, disproving the myth that women regret abortions.
Conversely, women denied abortions were more likely to live in economic hardship, stay with a violent partner, experience health complications, and face additional difficulties in raising their child.
